Our own Joanne Semple has submitted an idea for the Aviva Community Fund. Here is little of what she had to say about her idea...

"As you may be well aware, Yarmouth has suffered some major losses over the last few years due mostly due to the loss of the ferry to the United States.. A few years ago, an idea for a skate board park in the south end of yarmouth was proposed for the young kids in this area.. As with so many things in this area, it seems to have gotten placed on a back burner or forgotten about all together.. The park is all ready there, it just needs some major updates and the addition of the skateboard pipes to have a functional park for the kids.. , Their always seems to be a growing concern that the young kids have nothing to keep them busy and this leads to yournger and younger kids getting into trouble.. I think this would be a great pastime for them and would be a bit of good news for the yarmouth area.."
